Free TV Networks inks distribution deal with Scripps, Gray, expanding affiliates
Stations in Amarillo, Portland, Seattle, Houston, Atlanta, Buffalo and Reno now have one or both networks.
Free TV Networks has forged a distribution partnership with Gray Media and the E. W. Scripps Company that brings it two multicast networks 365BLK and Defy to more broadcast TV households across America.
The deal includes the distribution of Black-oriented 365BLK in markets like Alexandria, Amarillo, Jonesboro, South Bend and Reno, while reality-filled Defy comes to Atlanta, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Houston, Milwaukee, New Orleans, West Palm Beach, Portland and Seattle.
“Expanding Free TV Networks’ distribution is crucial in continuing our mission to provide the widest possible audience with access to premium programming at no cost,” said Joe Cantrell, Chief Distribution and Development Officer of Free TV Networks. “Our new distribution with Scripps and Gray Media allows us to reach deeply into communities across the country and serve viewers who are increasingly looking for free entertaining and engaging alternatives to paying for TV.”
